This is the core of who we are and why we exist. We know that the future of our country hinges on one thing alone. The passing on of a Biblical worldview to the next generation. There is no single greater opportunity to make this impact than there is in our Christian schools. Schools have roughly 12,000-15,000 hours to train the next generation for Christ. These core beliefs summarize the core doctrines of God’s Word in order for us to effectively pass on a Biblical Worldview. In order for any faith-based organization to partner with Fortify Foundation, they must attest to this statement of Faith.
Our Statement of Faith
At Fortify Foundation, we understand Christian education to be an incredible responsibility and we count it a privilege to help support it. With that being said, we also feel that certain tenets of the faith must be upheld in order to accomplish the goal of true Christian education (1 Tim. 6:3-4; Titus 1:9, 2:1; 2 Tim. 4:3-4; John 8:31-32). Our aim is to partner with schools that affirm and abide by to the following core beliefs:
We believe that the Bible alone, in its autographs, is the verbal, plenarily inspired, and only infallible, authoritative Word of God, and that it is the only fit, final rule in all matters of both faith and practice (Psalm 12:6; Prov. 30:5; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Heb. 4:12).
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:2, 26; John 1:1, 9; Matt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14).
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth and His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious atonement through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory (Col. 2:9; Heb. 1:8; Titus 2:13; John 1:1, 14; 20:28; Micah 5:2; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6; Matthew 1:18-23; 14:33; 16:21; 28:5-6; Acts 2:32; Romans 6:9; Revelation 5:12-14; John 2:19-21; 8:58; 10:30; 20:17; Mark 16:19; Luke 24:50-51; 1 Peter 3:22).
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life. We believe that He indwells believers at the point of conversion. (1 Cor. 6:19; John 14:16-17; 2 Cor. 1:21-22; Romans 8:9; Gal. 3:2).
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential (Titus 3:5-6).
We believe in the resurrection of life for true believers and that they who are lost will be raised unto the resurrection of damnation. We believe in the resurrection of all men, both saved and lost (John 5:28-29; 11:25-26; Romans 8:11; 1 Thess. 4:16-17; 1 Cor. 15:51-52).
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 1:10; 12:12-13; Eph. 4:3-6; John 17:20-21; Phil. 2:1-2; 1 Peter 3:8; Gal. 3:26-28).
We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary sexes together reflect the image and nature of God (Gen. 1:26- 27). Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.
We believe the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture (Gen. 2:18-25).
We believe that marriage between one man and one woman, for life, uniquely reflects Christ’s relationship with His Church (Eph. 5:21-33). We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Cor. 6:18; 7:2-5; Heb. 13:4).
We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.
We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, or use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God (Matt. 15:18-20; 1 Cor. 6:9-10).
We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ (Acts 3:19-21; Rom 10:9-10; 1 Cor 6:9- 11).
We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31). Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture.
We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life. (Ps. 139:13-18).
We believe that parents have the ultimate authority for the development and education of the children in their home. The aim of Christian education is to partner with parents to reinforce God’s Word as the final authority in all things. (Deut. 6:1-15; Prov. 22:6; Eph. 6:4; Prov. 1:8-9; 2 Tim. 3:14-15)
We believe that Christian education is a vital part of God’s design for discipleship, where the pursuit of truth is inseparable from the person of Jesus Christ (John 14:6). Grounded in the Word of God and guided by the Holy Spirit, Christian education shapes both the mind and the heart, equipping students to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30) and to live as faithful witnesses in the world (Matthew 5:14–16).
We affirm that all knowledge finds its source in God (Proverbs 1:7; Colossians 2:3; John 1:1), and therefore, every subject can and should be taught through a biblical worldview. Education is not merely preparation for life—it is a part of God’s transforming work in the life of each student, forming them into the image of Christ (Romans 12:2) and preparing them to serve others with excellence, compassion, and conviction.
