Lara has enjoyed a 25+ year career supporting clients with strategic marketing and communications needs in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors.
A native of Burlington, North Carolina, Lara fell in love with helping those in need through nonprofits and ministries as a teenager. Inspired at a summer camp with her church youth group, she quickly developed a deep passion for the Lord and serving others. This resolve stayed with her through college, leading her to get her BA in Communications from Gardner Webb University and then on to the University of South Carolina to earn her MA. She and her husband Dan have been married for 27 years and they have been greatly blessed with a wonderful daughter. They all enjoy serving in their local church in Columbia, SC.
Over the past two decades, Lara has put her love for helping others to work with clients on a local, national, and international level. She has held several positions, from leading the marketing and communications team in South Carolina for the largest Christian denomination in the nation to producing and directing network and instructional television. Her most recent position was as director of communications and marketing for one of the leading K–12 Christian private schools in the southeast. Her expertise in developing collateral and leading content creators across multiple media platforms, including broadcast television, internet media, and print, has prepared her to play a critical role in harnessing communications tools for Kingdom impact.
