Starting Your School’s Endowment Fund
Starting your school’s endowment fund is easy!
You can start your fund with any amount. Once it exceeds $10,000, you can begin receiving an annual distribution from the fund per Fortify’s spending policy (currently, 4%) or keep reinvesting its growth and earnings until you reach your goal.
While $10,000 is not the ultimate goal, you have to start somewhere! On day 1 of year 1, Joseph didn’t have much to show either. However, 7 years later, he was saving all of Egypt and beyond with the provision he set aside over that period.
